Rehabilitation and Neural Engineering Laboratory

Arianna Damiani, MSc

  • Advisors: Marco Capogrosso & Elvira Pirondini
  • Graduate Student Researcher

Arianna Damiani obtained her Masters in Science degree in Bioengineering from Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. She carried out her M.Sc. thesis at the Neuroengineering Laboratory of ETH, Zurich, where she worked on the development of a closed-loop non invasive BCI to treat pain. She worked in the same lab as a research scientist after completing her Masters Degree. She is currently a health science research fellow at RNEL working on simulations of spinal cord recruitment to optimize bioelectronic interventions for lower urinary tract control. Arianna is now a PhD student in Neural Engineering working on electrical stimulation of the motor thalamus for motor recovery after stroke.
