Emily Grattan, PhD, OTR/L, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh and Research Health Scientist with the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System. She is an experienced occupational therapist with expertise in neurological rehabilitation. She received her BS in Health Sciences and MS in Occupational Therapy from Duquesne University, her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh and completed Postdoctoral Training at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Research Interests

Dr. Grattan’s research interests focus on reducing disability for individuals with visual perceptual and motor impairments following stroke. Her current work is focused on improving measurement of unilateral neglect. Her work also examines the effects of pairing non-invasive brain stimulation with rehabilitation for individuals with unilateral neglect.
