Gilgal is a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and the Arizona State University respectively. He spent a year working under the supervision of Dr. Zachary Danziger at the Florida International Unviersity before joining RNEL.
