Sharlene Flesher

Sharlene Flesher is a PhD candidate in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Sharlene received her BS in Computer Engineering from St. Mary's University in San Antonio in 2011. She has been pursuing her PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh since August of 2011.

Research Interests

Sharlene's research interests are related to restoring upper limb function to  individuals with tetraplegia by using a brain-computer interface. Particularly, her focus is on improving neural prostheses with the addition of somatosensory feedback.
