  • PhD Student

Lucy Liang is a Health Sciences Research Fellow in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in 2020. There, she worked in Dr. Marc Sommer's lab developing optogenects methods for NHPs to enable specific  neuronal circuit modulation using viral transfection. Prior to joining the RNEL in Nov. 2020, Lucy worked as a  Biomedical Engineer at a medical device company.

Research Interest Summary

Neuroprosthetics, Rehabilitation, Motor Control, Proprioception, Sensorimoter Integration, Brain-Computer Interface

Research Interests

Lucy's research interests include broadly the restoration of limb functions after motor paralysis. She is currently involved in the investigation of the impact in stroke rehabilitation by sensory deficits from internal capsule stroke.
